How do people cope with getting rejected from interviews. I got another rejection today and I'm just down and frustrated. What are people doing to keep mentally strong? Please send me some suggestions. Feel like crying when I see my baby.
I had 3 screening interviews this week that I ffed up. One is meta. Did the interviews on Monday/Tuesday and still haven’t heard back from any of them. Usually, if the feedback is positive, I should hear back immediately.
I seriously hope you get the job.
I have noticed that interviewer comes with either default hire or default reject mood. If latter, you were in uphill battle anyway. Don’t get discouraged.
This is very true. When they are in a shit mood you project their mood onto you and then perform worse as well
Have comfort in the fact that snap went up 30% today
Just keep trying. It only takes one time.
Man I feel that. Few years ago I had a great first round, then didn't do well on the coding. Email was short and sweet, saying nice try but no. It stings. Hang in there
Have had a few where I went through the entire interview loop and never heard back. Companies are looking for the perfect candidate atm
Interviewing is a marathon. Always interview with several companies together - so you’re always looking forward to the next interview.
Shit happens OP, it’ll pass and you’ll get what you’re looking for. Keep at it ❤️
The bar is much much higher than before. A lot of companies don’t actually have a lot of HC and they are in no hurry to fill it either, so they just keep the hiring pipeline running as before, until they find some perfect candidate. You could get rejected for a tiny issue from your interview or resume. So it has nothing to do with you. It sucks to be job seeker in such a market. Just keep positive and treat every interview as a practice opportunity and lets all hope things could get better some time
Hang in there. The right role will find you soon!
Thanks :-)
