All you need is bachelors, doesn't matter how many years

Marvell iluilu Jun 17, 2019

That may be partially true, a bachelors is 4 years according to many (read almost all known) universities and uscis(i guess)

Nope, there are definitely accelerated programs in the US too where you catch up on credits faster and finish in less than 4. OP studied in India to it is entirely possible their program was different.

Georgia Tech and UIUC links are here. Probably one can find more. http://www.omscs.gatech.edu/ https://cs.illinois.edu/academics/graduate/professional-mcs-program/online-master-computer-science Update: Acceptance of 3 years degree is subjective. I guess no one can answer that except the admission committee themselves. But safe to say some industry experience is likely to help with that.

Yeah no one recognizes 3 yrs bachelors anymore. I’m surprised there are such bachelor courses in indian still(kind of sure OP is)

Yeah but I don't think it's a deal breaker with getting admission. At worst, they would ask you to complete some pre req additional course work

Does online US degree even help with H1B?

Check out USC if the tuition rates make sense to you. I know for a fact that they accept 3 years bachelors. You would need to do some extra courses compared to someone who did 4 years bachelors, but you would graduate with a BS and MS degree.

Thank you. They look expensive though

You can try completing your BS with them, but for MS try another university once you get BS.
