Hi, I have an onsite interview with redfin in few days. Can anybody give me tips? what kinds of questions they ask? Thanks
Forgot to answer OP's question. For onsite you should expect regular session including coding, Algo, OO, sys design, etc.. There will be lunch in a restaurant as well as behavior questions.
They said that the interview is from 10:30 Am to 2:30 Pm (including 90 min lunch break). Do you know how the structure of the interview was? Like how many interviews? How many questions per interview? Btw Thank you. This is so helpful.
It's usually 45 mins session, so my guess: 1030 - 1115 1115 - 1200 1200 - 1330 lunch 1330 - 1415 1415 - 1430 (?) Not sure about the last one, might be another 45 min session or 15 min HM wrap up, u should prepare as if it is 45 mins seasion
You did their bullshit take home project? What a waste of time...
Mind elaborate why it is a waste of time? Genuine question :)
It's bullshit because I have better things to do. Doing this project does absolutely nothing for me bar posting it on my dead github account. I don't even get paid for doing it. The time vested into it produces very little to no ROI bar getting a below market offer from Redfin. At least with LC prep I can carry it to other on-sites. Also I could just outsource the project on upwork. Then I can briefly look at it enough to answer follow up questions on it. Point is, it's bullshit. You're not making the interview process any better but worse with this approach. It's why I refused interviews with Redfin.
