My strongly held opinion is that at any company the rot starts the day they hire management consultants, McKinsey/Bain/BcG, for any project, not only layoffs (ex. Wasn’t McKinsey that told att that market for mobile phones is too small)
btw OP what’s happening in Adobe? Meta/Bain kind of thing brewing out there?
No idea, you never know when these leeches come inside
🥲
Don’t disagree, but literally every F500 hires MBB for different projects. Colossal waste of money in many (most) cases but they all do it.
I think it’s a symptom rather than a cause.. it’s a sign that the most senior leaders of the company have lost faith that their own management can solve difficult problems. This could be a real problem with the management, or a problem with the senior leaders.. but hiring MBB comes after this
We aren’t the boogey man. I guess if calling us names makes you feel better - go for it. 🤷🏼♀️ Target is right though. Literally everyone hires consulting firms for all sorts of different types of projects.

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
They also consulted CNN for their streaming business 😂
Did not know that, that alone is enough to validate my opinion 😂
