Interviewing for an associate role in this team and wondering if anyone has any insight on them as they’re relatively new. I’m coming from a bank S&T role and would be making a longterm career switch. Is this a good longterm career move, how is the culture and work life balance, and can I expect comparable or better TC? YOE: 3+ TC: expecting 200k+ in s&t (current role) Location: NYC Edit: appreciate everyone’s feedback! To add more detail, I’m prioritizing better WLB at similar TC if possible and understanding that it might come at a cost of LT earnings/career trajectory. From SWE friends who’ve worked there, I think Two Sigma’s a great company but wasn’t sure what the strategy & ops roles were like
S&T sounds more lucrative imo
Initial TC may be similar but if you grind it out and get to run a trading desk at a bank you will make multiples of what TS will pay you
Wouldn’t recommend
Appreciate the advice! Are there specific reasons you wouldn’t—is it the career trajectory, group culture, TC, etc?
You can DM me, I've worked with people on this team
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I also want to get to know more about it, can I DM you?
Probably not a good move imo.
