Opinions on leaving for another company 8 months in?
I really love my team but I was given an opportunity for a company I wanted to work for a while back. Compensation aside, what’s your opinion on leaving a company 8 months in for a company and field you love?

It's business. Especially at a megacorp like SAP. Don't think for a second they wouldn't hesitate to fire you to make their shareholders happy or to make numbers. Do it for you.

Do it, but don't make it a habit. Companies don't like hoppers, but if you go SAP -> Big N/Unicorn in 8 mo, nobody is gonna bat an eye at that.

Go for it.. but make sure your resume does not reflect multiple short stints which will make it look like a habit.
