Opportunities in Amsterdam?

Hi, I wish to relocate to Amsterdam for long term. Are there any easy job opportunities that sponsor Visa/relocation as well? I am not very excited about start-ups like Uber because they often tend to have poor work-life balance. I have an engineering background and open to non-technical roles too, if the pay and career prospects are good.

Booking.com

Low Glassdoor rating, especially for tech. Old tech. stack. Didn't like their hiring process. Didn't shortlist me for a role more suitable for me. Our competitors.

Believe me, your silly site is not a competition for Booking.com :)

There are few opportunities open in Amazon office in Amsterdam if you're looking for something interesting

Plenty of smaller companies can easily sponsor you a work visa. I had a couple of offers but declined them because salary is pretty low. Expect to get 60-70k eur per year for software development position

Prostitution. Don't think there are much visa issues either.

“I am not very excited about start-ups like Uber because they often tend to have poor work-life balance” You know, you’re not doing much of a research and making a lot of assumptions. 1. We’re hardly a startup in terms of size, revenue, impact. Yes, we have the fun stuff left like autonomy and little red tape. 2. What are you talking about WLB? Yes, just like any US company in Europe it won’t be strictly 9-to-5, especially if we need to talk with SF. WLB is pretty good in general, compared to the usual suspects. 3. We pay top of the market in Europe and have an engineering culture on par with what you see in Silicon Valley / FANG. Expectations are also high - if you are not getting interviews at Booking, you will probably struggle for the same here. 4. Get back to reality. You can’t have excellent WLB AND great pay AND visa sponsorship+relo AND fantastic glassdoor reviews AND being an “easy job opportunity”. Pick max 3 of that 4. But you’ll find this out as well.

Hm... Maybe, unless you're an investor, with large capital. Then you can run people around to make profit for you, pay for your own travel and citizenship, and your only job is to find the next horse to bet on. Sounds like something, I'd rather be.
