Curious to know if anyone has worked on the Los Angeles team and what their experience was like - word on the street is that it’s toxic there
Entire Amazon is toxic. Why single them out?
That’s a generally false statement.
When you have mandatory URA quota, it breeds toxicity. Especially for new ppl.

Amazon is huge, and it very much depends on the team/manager. I wasn’t that much lucky there, but it was Seattle and Amazon Pay. I learnt a lot, but it was hard.
I used to work for Prime Video and Amazon Studios in LA. Its not toxic everywhere but in certain pockets. A microcosm of Amazon. The one weird thing is that it doesn't have a very strong "amazonian" culture. Since it's a remote office and very very few people there have ever worked for Amazon in Seattle, the culture is very laid back and loose.

It is. Run away. Literally go anywhere else.

Country? US or other region? Amazon Prime Video, UK team is amazing. Even APAC team is good to deal with and have not heard much bad things. However, India Prime Video team is on another tangent altogether.
