Optimal Microsoft Start Date

Recently received an offer from Microsoft. I am thinking of starting in January/February 2020, compared to December 2019. Is this a good decision? Is there anything I need to keep in mind like bonuses/refreshers, or if its a good time of year to get started at a new company? Thanks!

Do you have any reason to not start immediately?

Definitely would like and could use a break for at least a few weeks/month. Been bouncing around different things with no chance to recover.

These were my breaks since 92: 94, 98, 04, 06, 07, 09, 15, 17 and 19. So in 27 years of school/work, I took 9 breaks (out of 27 possible). And I'm not dead. Yet.

Very pleasant. LC easy-medium at least for me, some behavioral at the start. 1 system design interview. Interviewers were all very cool and friendly.

how fast did they give you the offer ?Like when did they confirm after onsite?and did they team match ?

T-Mobile doge ๐Ÿถ OP Nov 14, 2019

team match was before interview. They said it could take 2 weeks or less to recieve an offer decision, but i found out within ~24 hours.

ConvergeOne eBbE11 Nov 15, 2019

you got an offer or decision in 24 hours?I got a positive feedback from recruiter with my interview and then they mentioned about team matching and I have not heard back in a week.
