How bad is it in meta?
How many days per week do you want to be forced to come into the office? I heard from a few Blinders that they are worried about lower productivity with new remote work options, want to know what you think.
I can’t decide between 2/3 or 3/2.
I don’t want and not going to be forced
Same, things have changed. I won’t interview anywhere that doesn’t offer full remote anymore
Tim cares not about your newfound preferences
2 days WFO but from any office
I like same office to play with colleagues
And I get tired of cooking
I used to work 40 hrs in office per week, now at home I work 65.
I always thought progressives were against wfh because it leads to predatory piece work pay. And a fixed salary makes it easier for employers to exploit labor. Those of you in favor of wfh will come to regret it.
It’s also easier for managers to create information vacuum around their team, to create communication gap. While we slave away to support the company in a difficult time, we lose on the opportunity to make meaningful investment in our own career (networking, FaceTime and connections).
All days wfh. Hybrid is stupid
I would rather prefer one week a month for the team to be in office together.... spread out different teams for different weeks. And one more week for cross team whiteboarding/brainstorming activities where only invited folks show up in person. Allow RV parking or make sleep pods available for folks who don’t want to drive back during that “office” week (allows one to live farther away from the crowded Bay Area). Solves the expensive real estate problem for both employee and the employer. Less travel solves traffic congestion.
I'd like to come and go to the office for social interactions based on me and my teammates preferences. Don't want the company forcing anything.
4 days office, 1 day wfh. That 1 day should be made into a peaceful wfh no-meeting day like a Wednesday to break the interactive work week into 2 parts: mon/tues, thurs/fri.
current: 7 days WFH 😅
how many hours roughly?
80-90hrs
