Lots of OCI discussion recently but they seem to be hiring as much as possible across all OCI. What’s the work life balance there? Are people generally happy there? What’s the the culture and benefits? What’s the TC breakdown for Principal MTS (IC 4) there? Are most people just there for the cash grab? For those who have moved from Azure or AWS teams what do you think of Oracle so far?
I’m part of OCI Inbound PM team and I really like the team and Oracle in general. Culture is great, work-life balance is really good and Oracle has great benefits. Been with Oracle for almost 4 years and lots of opportunities and challenges here. Recommend OCI org and Oracle 100%. Plus, I’m very optimistic about what we have lined up for the next months and very happy about what we have delivered so far in such short time since OCI has been launched just 2 years ago.
What did your TC breakdown look like?
Do it. I enjoyed my time at AWS and appreciated how rigorous most people were there, yet I find Oracle to be much livelier, more opportunity, more challenging. People are so much friendlier, too. OCI is definitively losing but people are working like hell to build something valuable. There will always be shit-talking, but do you want to succumb to anonymously written gripes, or do you want to work hard and create something? I choose the latter.
What is your level and role and TC break down?
