Currenly an L6 SDM at AWS with prior experience as a Director. Scope of the role at L6 is not matching with what I expected. Hungry to take more challenges and responsibilities. Got a verbal offer from OCI for senior manager. I am more interested in a director role there. Any idea if there is room to push for leaning in on bumping the level. Current TC 360K. Also, would OCI be able to match or hit above 400K at this level?
OCI should be able to hit 400k if they want you. Not sure they'll offer Director. Don't know your situation, but being a Director at smaller places where you have a small org will probably not be viewed as real experience as a Director.
Your yoe ?
18 years, with 8 as manager of engg. teams.
From what I know, OCI is now hiring early L7s from Amazon and high L66/early L67 from MSFT as Directors
M4 Director at Oracle is equivalent to level 65-66 manager at Microsoft
Maybe. But from what I heard the bar at OCI increased considerably for senior positions
Why a drastic change and different than rest of Oracle?

You make 360k at GE?!... (Yes, Oracle will throw money at you. Don't worry about that).
ATM with AWS.
