Hi, can anyone confirm how does react developer role looks like at oracle cloud infrastructure team. #tech #softwareengineer #react #oraclecloud
no way, they use it for their oracle cloud web interface.
Pretty sure console is coded in react... and devops portal
Last I heard Console is moving to OJET. Internal portal is in React with no plans to change. There is a lot of frontend work to be done internally to support both existing services that are building/improving their UI and new services that are launching.
kindly answer if you know, how the front end ui development work is done in oracle, html css designs are done seprataely or by the javascript front end developer ?
It looks like some teams are still in React but Oracle is encouraging teams to move to JET.
Oracle has multiple component libraries the current one being used for UI teams is in React with TS. Design of screens is done by a different team. You get mockups and are asked to build the screens usually with preexisting components. If you need to build something custom you have to get approval. Some teams have both front end and backend engineers together others are all just front end. My React team does way more coding and works on more interesting projects.
React is banned for use jn Oracle. React native is allowed though. Oracle encourages OJET. All Facebook open source is banned from what I know.
Do you even work for Oracle. OCI is built on React and TS. Will stay that way for the near future.
From the All Hands last year, it was told that Oracle JET will be the path forward. Teams will be migrating from React to JET. This caused a serious concern for a lot of developers that a 2nd meeting had to be made for people who were concern about this.
