Oracle bare metal cloud interview tips

I have an on-site scheduled for Oracle bmc in Seattle. how is the interview process compared to Amazon or Facebook? I am asking because Glassdoor and other websites do not have sufficient data for this.

Amazon BCantrill Jul 27, 2017

They don't have a working product or tech culture. They have a history of lying and suing. They're an Axis power.

Microsoft ESnX24 Jul 27, 2017

How long ago were you fired?

Amazon BCantrill Jul 27, 2017

I quit.

coming back to original question, I have heard the money it's really good and that is what matters to me right now. I can always switch in an year or two to something better

Microsoft bdjoe Jul 27, 2017

Prepare like to an amazon and Facebook interview. The structure is about the same: coding, coding, behavioral and culture fit, design, bar raiser

Microsoft tpyo57 Jul 27, 2017

Shouldn't be hard. I know a guy from there who was the most pathetic and useless SDE in the whole Microsoft. He was an SDE1 for 6 years in MS. Now he's a senior in BMC. No way that he could grow.

Microsoft msgrtagain Jul 27, 2017

Is this for real? I have never seen anyone staying at SDE 1 for more than 3 years. BTW, interview has nothing to do with actual skill. I know a guy who got 5 for two years in a row but he did not have a problem moving to Google.

Microsoft tpyo57 Jul 27, 2017

This is for real.

is the bar for Oracle as high as Amazon or Facebook?

Microsoft Leetcoder Aug 5, 2017

Close to Amazon's bar may be. Facebook's bar is much higher.

Microsoft LKEP78 Jul 28, 2017

BMC has the same loop type interview process. Did they send you the Spartan core values? They are similar to Amazon - so prepare stories for each of those. Bar raiser is easily identifiable but they weren't super stressful

Microsoft daredevill OP Jul 29, 2017

thanks for this. they haven't sent me anything yet. I am supposed to have my phone screening this week. I am not really prepared for interviews but I saw some Glassdoor Amazon questions and I can handle those. so was wondering if the level of Oracle is higher or about the same as Amazon

Microsoft LKEP78 Jul 29, 2017

I interviewed at Amazon in 2012 so my info is out of date but thought their interview loop was harder than Oracle BMC. The BMC phone screen was easy. It's the loop that they dive into core values.

@op, can you share the interview experience?
