I had a few colleague s who went to Oracle cloud and I am seeing that most of them are back in a year. Was there a good sign on bonus or is the org going down
I know at least two hires near my team who came from Microsoft. Couldn’t deal with the fast culture and moved back. It’s not for everyone.
Fast culture in Oracle? Since when? Or is it a specific org
So, you are saying Oracle has fast culture when compared with MSFT?
Did you have to interview when going back?
Unfortunately yes, but they are mostly for showing the management
So it's ok to bomb a coding question? I can only do problems I've done before.
Fake news, there no such thing. More than 40+ are joining every Monday
Yes people are still joining, but more are starting to leave too
I’m hearing that those working in the Classic Cloud are done. I expect to see many exMicrosofties return.
What is classic cloud. Is this the OCI thing
Yeah that’s my understanding.
Reposting this here because I want to share my experience with Oracle and OCI. I’m part of OCI Inbound PM team and I really like the team and Oracle in general. Culture is great, work-life balance is really good and Oracle has great benefits. Been with Oracle for almost 4 years and lots of opportunities and challenges here. Recommend OCI org and Oracle 100%. Plus, I’m very optimistic about what we have lined up for the next months and very happy about what we have delivered so far in such short time since OCI has been launched just 2 years ago.
Found the hiring manager
Sign-on has 18 month clawback. Returning sooner means they probably had to repay it. It’s not pro-rated either. Leave or get fired before 18 months and you owe every cent to Oracle. Sometimes you can negotiate another deal but that usually requires VP or above involvement. People with significant sign-on bonuses have to really want to leave, or really screw up, to contemplate leaving before about 24 months (assuming they want the second vest too).

BREAKING: Internal sources confirm another round of layoffs just hit emails at Tesla. For real.
I heard something abt some projects getting canned and people being let go.
Yep. Heard from a credible source that one of the reason Tom Kurian (Product boss) is taking an ‘extended leave’ is to let others clean house. Approx 1/4 of Oracle workforce reports to him. Things could turn for the worse soon.
He already left Oracle
