I recently interviewed with oracle (onsite) in seattle. I havent heard from recruiters in two weeks. I would atleast expect a courtesy "no" from them if they do not want to move ahead. Whats up with oracles unprofessional slackness towards keeping candidates uptodate. Anybody with same experience ?
There was a company wide shutdown in December, so it might take a while to gain the momentum back. That said, we try to notify candidates within 72hrs when we interview in my Org. No harm in sending a line to the recruiter.
If the Recruiter was good, they would've set an expectation of that shutdown.
I agree. You can msg me his/her name.
So you waited two weeks and didn't even ping the recruiter? Blame half of this on yourself.
I did couple of times already
Heard from a friend of mine at Oracle that recruiters are struggling to keep up with the rapid growth in Seattle and are "losing" candidates.
The recruiter was suppose to get back before shutdown. I did reach out couple of times. Its a one way street, no response. I hate silence. I would take a "no" or "working on it" for an answer. When will oracle learn?
It's common - I had similar issues with all the companies in the past month - they are slow and recruiters don't know how much we are waiting
Oracle is a joke - worst 2 years of my life
Oracle takes a LONG time for anything. Reach out for an update if you are interested.
