I am not sure this 3k count is new or part of existing found? https://www.businessinsider.com/oracle-halted-raises-layoffs-after-cerner-deal-2023-5
It is the same problem we had with TK and the Gen 1 Cloud. We need to flush out the legacy like we did with OCI-C and move to Gen 2 OCI.
My spouse left Oracle after his company was acquired by it decades ago. It was one of his best career decisions.
Please elaborate?
I mean is it really a shock to anyone? Duplicate / overlapping roles Underperforming or non strategic products / teams High cost heads moving to low cost areas Many companies laying off folks
Cerner has been laying people off every couple months for almost a year now
*3 years. You don't go from 36k to 19k headcount in just a year. Layoffs and encouragement of attrition have been constant. Instead of paying premium per share, Oracle should have waited a few months and let the company crater and buy the smoking ruins for pennies on the $ after all the burning down the house the execs did. All they did was give them golden parachutes and take on a lot of liability.
