I got an offer from Oracle today and was a little surprised and disappointed. It is for a Senior Cloud Developer role. The salary is $130k with no bonus and no stock. Is this common with Oracle now? Levels shows an average stock of $39k/year even just for an entry level role. I would be working remotely so I don’t know if they aren’t offering stock to people remote or what. Does anyone have any information about this?
Location?
I’m located in the Twin Cities. The team is based out of Florida.
Probably not OCI. Non OCI is bad
Non-OCI is standard for no RSU’s. Negotiate up though.
Generally no RSU LOBs are not worth joining unless you’re really looking out/still beat with base
Reapply to OCI. You can't transfer to OCI after joining.
Yup OCI is the place if you want to be in Oracle. I never such disparate salaries for the same role in any company.
Have you checked out MSFT vs Linkedin salaries?
Maybe also since it’s not a SWE role?
Never heard an offer without stocks
Oracle is a shitty company. Everybody knows it
