Oracle offer

Any candidate received official offer letter from Oracle (non OCI) lately? My verbal offer was given since May and it is still pending Board of Directors now. Heard coming quarter result is good, any clue if the hiring freeze is going to stop soon? After Cerner merged. Tc 100 Position software engineer

I think you should forget it. May is a long time ago.

Oracle is not a great place to work, the Tc offered is way too low for the work pressure they have. The company may look great from outside but is toxic and poisonous management inside.

They’re stringing you along in case their preferred candidate backs out. I wouldn’t hold your breath. Keep interviewing

I got an offer in June and joined in August (non-OCI) so yeah I think May to now is a long timeline. Also depends on which business unit. But… Oracle blows. Culture is exactly what people say it is. A 3.3/5 Blind rating is seemingly generous. I came for TC, and will leave for TC or WLB the first chance I get.

I got a verbal offer and never got an actual offer. This was in Jan. It was for Oracle healthcare something

Hiring freeze. Very few written offers going out. In past it can take 6 months for written offer

6 months is a long waiting time. I saw Oracle started posting new jobs in LinkedIn. So I wonder if they have resume the recruitment

I suggest you to move on. The work culture is toxic and many managers do not care for employees health, they care only about year end bonus and will keep chasing you to get the desired SLA’s and unreasonable targets to be met. You will not have any peace or personal family time.
