I have two offers. One with oracle which is remote. The other is with DSG and would require me to relocate to the greater Pittsburgh area. Any insight is appreciated. Comp is comparable for from one location to the other. Oracle is all front end while DSG is full stack. Thoughts ?
Go where the interviews were harder. Always.
Hardest is best for sure
Think also about your next move. While oracle is no Google, but it still is a out and out tech company. Think how dsg might look on your resume and whether those recruiters will just give you a pass. Brand names matter.
So the interview wasn’t really difficult for either. One was a take home with ten problems(Oracle) which is a front end developer role. DSG was more conversation about what I have done plus api / system design questions. It was for a software engineering role. I personally prefer full stack work. But can do training/ leet code in my free time at home to keep up to date with backend if oracle is the choice.
Anything else in the pipeline? What's your gut feeling about both?
At the current no more for sure offers in the pipeline. DSG would probably be harder work but require relocation. Oracle will be updating internal hr stuff for employees
Remote means you can live somewhere cheap and get an effectively huge comp raise. Do it for 2 yrs then find another role with the pocketed cash
Dick's sporting goods? Wtf, it's not even a tech company. Oracle all day.
Just curious to know which offer did you accept finally?
If the DSG stack is Oracle like where I work (ATG, at that) , go with Oracle, you'll hate the stack either way.

Thinking of choosing a name Aria for my baby boy.
Regarding Dick’s Sporting Goods: 1. Was the offer hard to get? 2. Did any of the interviews finish early? 3. How long did the process take? 4. Were you satisfied with the offer? 5. Can you give us a tip?
Lol I dig the trolling ;)
