How is the work at Oracle. I got the recruiter call for Software Engineer positions. I have applied to some 10 positions in past week. But I have 4 years of experience currently and was expecting to get call for swe 2 or 3 positions. Should I still go ahead for the interview with this position?? Is it possible if I talk with oracle recruiter they can help me. Also does oracle have the common pool for interview? And how is the work culture at Oracle. Currently my work is chill at Fidelity but TC is only 130k. #tech #oracle #Oracle #Oracle-OCI
You can be leveled up or down one in the loop interview. WLB is based off team but most do have high ops tempo. I’d say go ahead with the interview; a good loop should appropriately level you.
What does ops mean? If I may ask
What IC level and what org?
It is OCI. The required experience is 2 to 3 years. Don't know about IC. It's just written as Software Engineer.
OCI the wlb is absolute shit. Lots of poor management and lots of ops work creates too much overhead and responsibility for engineers. The recruiter is fucking you if he put you up for that role. 2-3 YOE is IC2. Ppl with 10 YOE are at LEAST IC3 (and probably on the higher end) and probably IC4. This is all purely off our leveling guidelines. You should def ask for IC3 if you have that much experience that’s not in some legacy trash stack.
