I received a verbal offer from hiring manager two weeks ago, but haven't heard back after that even if I followed up with email. I can tell from the email plugin that they read my emails but ignored them anyway. Is it normal for Oracle? I am recently seeing news that Oracle is reorgING.(https://www.mysanantonio.com/technology/businessinsider/article/Larry-Ellison-explains-Oracle-s-restructuring-and-14030374.php). Does it have any effect on the hiring process? Also, does any one know how is Oracle Sales Cloud? Is it a good team or not?
Yes it’s normal. Takes long time to make a written offer. Don’t count on it. Oracle is always reorganizing. Oracle Sales Cloud is ok - it’s under new leadership but the product is way behind Salesforce.
Thanks for those details! How long do you know by chance? I saw from other posts that usually 4-12 weeks.
What email plugin do you use?
lol. https://www.streak.com/for/email-tracking-in-gmail . You can even see where and which device your email were opened
Cool thanks Is it completely invisible to the recepient? No way for the company to know that we are tracking the email?
Someone I know had to wait 5 months. That was way too long but the average is a couple of months. So you have to just wait it out.
Offer details plz? Did you verbally accept?
The technology stack is archaic and the engineering talent is subpar at the best. Tc, yoe and offer tc please in case you want more details.
Current: 110k in NC. 2 yoe. offer: IC3. TC: around 200k in HQ, no details yet
Take it as its a significant bump on your tc. But I suggest that you keep looking and use the offer to negotiate a better offer at a better place elsewhere
They are preparing for layoffs in Sept. So most likely trying to decide whether the role you applied for will go away or stay
I was told by manager that 3 more new grads are coming this Fall as well. Guess it is ok for the team?
