I heard a lot of rumors that OCI has different set of benefits comparing to the rest Oracle. For example unlimited vacation vs limited. What about other benefits? 401k match still matching 50% on 6% of base salary with 4 years vesting period? ESPP is just 5% discount on up to 10% of your base salary? Also how much does parking cost in Oracle buildings in Downtown Seattle? For people who live on Eastside, what is your average GoodToGo monthly bill for using 520?
All benefits are same across oracle us
At least PTO policies are different. Also I think mobile phone policy is different too.
Who told you this shit? Benefits are the same across the company. Orca card is a different issue. These things are geo dependent.
Vacation policy is the same. Salaried employees get unlimited PTO, hourly are on the normal plan. Are OCI devs salaried?
Yes
Vacation policy is the same across Oracle. It is flexible vacation not unlimited. Read the HR policy website.
OCI salary bands seem different.
Unlimited PTO is bullshit. I asked my manager for 4 weeks leave and he said it needs higher management approval for PRO more than 3 weeks.
Thanks everyone for your feedback.
Did you join oci?
OCI does have the "unlimited" PTO policy. ESPP is as you described. OCI doesn't subsidize parking at all, so, you're looking at the cost of monthly parking in either Century Square or Russell Investment Center for the Seattle offices. OCI also doesn't fully subsidize an Orca pass, it ends up being ~$160 for a year long card.
Wow. That sucks. Are there any dollar limits on 401k match and ESPP purchase?
They'll only match 50% up to 6. I haven't looked at the ESPP program, because the Oracle stock isn't one I would invest in. It doesn't do anything.
