It seems most posts are about Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple. What about companies such as Samsung, LG, and Motorola, just to name a few. Does anyone work for them that can offer insights to their company culture?
would never want to work for Samsung
Why?
because they make android awful
What is a Motorola?
Spent time at large computer company. Big company mentality had a lot of minuses imho. Unfortunately the bigger the company, the easier it is for people to hide & do nothing yet take home a salary. Very frustrating if your are one of the few that actually want to do something great
Google, Amazon, Microsoft are all software companies. Samsung, LG and Motorola (Lenovo) are consumer hardware companies. You may want to read this. Still relevant 6 years later: https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424053111903480904576512250915629460
Thank you for the interesting read. I guess I hadn't really considered just quite how different they are with their end products, especially the phone manufacturers often using Android. It's a very interesting world.
My pleasure, it's a good read. And for fun now go and look up the stock price of all those companies over the last 5 or 6 years.
