I hope none of you ever gets a GC
We closed on a house in south San Jose and paid 400k over the listed price. Now I am worried if I overpaid for the house 🙁
At 400k over, nah you got a deal
Did you listen to your genius real estate agent and make that decision?
🧌
Dude .., 400k above asking .. OMG!!!!!!… just asking , did your wife force you to buy this home
It’s too late to be worried. Nothing you can do now except wait to see if it was a good investment or not.
How much did you pay? If you paid 1.5m for a 1.1m home thats one thing, but paying 2m for SSJ is too much
400k over asking price is meaningless. Compare it with the comp.
Listing price means absolutely nothing. It may be a fair deal in crazy bay area market. Look at CMA report and follow pending houses selling price to get an idea on the pricing trend. It's likely that in few weeks you will see other houses are going for the same range. Overall think about the long term investment, what this house means to you and the memories you will build in the house. Congratulations!
❤️
In this market, most sellers already listed high. No one is dumb to list too low in the bay area now and get low ball offers.
If your salary is $1M then it's ok. If less than that then you just pissed away your $400k of hard earned money.
Play the long game and you’ll be fine
