Similar offers from Amazon and Broadcom, looking for suggestions on offer. Broadcom Layoffs and uncertainty due to acquisition, 5 day RTO, lack of innovation Amazon More interesting work and scope to grow, hybrid, worse wlb #vmware #broadcom #amazon
They’re both terrible companies, but you have a better chance of bouncing to better, more desirable companies with Amazon than Broadcom. I would go with Amazon, but make a plan to leave within 1-2 years and go for a more worker-friendly company at around the same comp. Congratulations and best of luck! TC: 105K
I agree with you here ... I've read your previous comments and know you have no love for Amazon and would never work for them I've worked in Amazon in the past and this is exactly my opinion here as well
Aren't you already at BC?
OP mentioned in another comment that they are at Broadcom and is considering the Amazon offer
In this case, I’d take Amazon and be prepared for their pip machine to pick your name. Going in with the expectation that you’ll be pipped for no fucking reason will at least reduce your mental load.
Been here for about 5 years now, never once worried about pip. Have you worked at Amazon, were you pip'd?
No, I haven’t. Couple of my friends did work there. Shared awful stories. Good enough for me to stay away. I’m a collaborative person and not someone who will stab someone else in the back. From what I understand, I’ll be the first one to be voted off the island with that personality.
Im out of dms and I'm in talks for L5 , need your insights. Can you dm me?
Amazon any day, worked at both places
Yoe?

Congratulations op. Are you currently working @ Broadcom or got new Broadcom offer
why it’s even a question, enjoy Amazon.
Isn't L5-L6 promo at Amazon very hard? What's your YoE OP?
Depends what you what from your career. If you purely want easy $$ right now, Broadcom. If you want to rise and grow, Amazon. Irrespective of what the morons on here say, a couple years of Amazon looks great on a resume. This will yeild great dividends once you leave if you are looking to climb the ladder. Personally my team / wlb / comp is great, so I lucked out I guess. But if unlucky, be prepared to grind.
