Does anyone have insight into Conga and the future of its Salesforce integration? We know Conga is built on Salesforce, but I heard Apttus is a “rival” of Salesforce. So by Apttus acquiring Conga, will there still be seamless support between the platforms. Background: We are looking for CMS/CLM and it came down to DocuSign CLM and Conga. We don’t want to be in a position where we have to switch platforms due to sudden increase of pricing or phase out of functionalities. Thanks in advance!

Apttus is 100% native to Salesforce. It was the first app on the AppExchange back in 2006. Conga has a SF based CLM and an off platform CLM (former Novatus product). DocuSign is not built on Salesforce so you will need to deal with an integration. With Apttus or Conga there is no integration, it’s native. Apttus and SalesForce do both offer CPQ solutions but I wouldn’t say they are competitors at this point. Each has pros/cons. The new Conga direction is to remain 100% native to SF platform so you should focus on Conga if being inside SF is important to you.
