Hi, I had a call with recruiter for a position @ Goldman Sachs about 2 weeks ago. The recruiter said that we will have to wait for a feedback from the HM on the next step however the recruiter said that HM has not provided feedbacks yet. Does it usually take this long?
Why would anyone want to join Gs? It’s a dumpster fire
How is the culture?
Toxic to its core. On top of that, tech stack dates back to 20 years
My hiring process took about 4 months.
Oh wow that was really long. How long did it take you to do first interview after initial call with the recruiter?
Well, I didn't have a call with a recruiter, one of the leads reach out to me personally. In total, there were three interviews with the team directly, which took six weeks. And the background check took about seven weeks. GS moves extremely slowly, you need to be patient at this stage.
My hiring process was exactly 6 months from first contact to start date.
Oh wow it really is long. Can I ask how many interviews you had?
OP mind if I DM? I’m similar position. Although I interviewed about 4+ weeks ago and still haven’t heard back. Last HCM said - they were waiting for feedback from the team as well. But two days ago the role has been removed from the site. Any GS folks - does this mean req was filled or removed? Q2 earnings?
Not necessarily, mine got removed the 1st month I interviewed for it, maybe once they get a good pool they take it down?
I really hope so! But between 1st and 2nd rounds .. 4-5 weeks is a long time no? Or do you think they were conducting 1st round for a few weeks and now they’ve got a pool like you mentioned.
Also, is it true GS is now 5 days in the office? As of last week? Based on info from NYC office
The hiring process is along AF
Can I ask how long it usually takes?
I started interviewing in March and started working in June
