Hi, I'm a 21 year old with a little over 1.5 years of experience in internships doing software development (i've always done full stack for a website so primarily typescript, react, express, sql. I'm currently working with OpenAI, prisma, Azure - this coop seems like a better learning opportunity). I never did leetcode which is why I haven't worked anywhere impressive (only earned between 32-35/hr at all coops). I've finally come to my senses and started the leetcode grind 2 weeks ago because I need at least 95k when I graduate to help my parents out (&fund my shopping addiction @ sephora lol). Slow progress but I'm forcing myself to stay committed these 4 months. I was wondering which company I should aim for my final internship this fall? Will Amazon or wealthsimple be too hard (considering I probably won't be that good at leetcode in 3 months when i start to apply, i hope to do easies and somee mediums but i'm not from a cs background so I won't be as fast as the rest of you). Do i stick to the government/banks? please help so i know what to aim for. i don't want to aim for something unrealistic and be sad. I'm fine to work anywhere in North America (desperate times, desperate measures)

Are you on student visa? It’s going to be hard to get a job. Lot of layoffs at amazon. Chances of getting a job as a new grad without internship is probably zero
nope, born and raised in the GTA - I don't know what I'd do if I was an international student. But anyways, I really want a good internship so I can return full time so if you have any advice or know of any decent companies, please lmk
Sorry, unfortunately no advice. It’s hard especially for new grads nowadays but keep trying and good luck.
