Considering employment @ Teradata
Have had two on phone and 1 onsite with Teradata. Getting good vibes from all but am hesitant because of the recent layoffs. I would be working within the GTM team as a program manager. Looking for any insights to company culture, stabilty and overall growth. Also looking for pay ranges as well, exp is listed below: 10 yrs exp total - 3YOE Sys Admin/SysEng, 7 YOE leading large and small scale enterprise projects for the DoD. Based in San Diego. Transitioning from Public sector to Private is challenging. Thoughts?
Joined last year. Great company with a huge upside. Currently bumpy but we are transitioning to ARR from TCV. The future looks bright if we pull out strong.
What is ARR and TCV ?
Total contract value. Annual recurring revenue. Basically old TD only sold hardware/services and would realize all revenue up front. New TD sells hardware and TD in the cloud (TD, AWS, Azure, GCP) allowing us to apply a subscription service over time. The issue with this transition is that your sales revenue will look very slumped until the transition is over. It's been about a year transition so far and it looks like we should be out of it by this year.
Based on blind posts, wlb is great but tech stack is slow and legacy. Use search and try both spellings with 1 or 2 R's.
