Since January. Some after 1st round. Some after onsite. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. It is very frustrating. Need some motivation. Current TC: 227K YOE: 6 PM/6 non-PM
What resources have you used for prep?
Being a PM myself and having co-founded a startup and hiring people myself have some experience. But I did prep through Cracking the PM interview, Decode and Conquer, Collected a list of questions from various companies from Glassdoor (About 120 questions and growing). PM interviews are way too subjective and I cannot tell what I am doing wrong. I come out with a great feeling only to see a rejection email.
Happened to me too. 8 companies out of which 5 on sites. Finally nailed a FAANG. Out of 8, onsite at Nutanix, BitGo, FB, LinkedIn, Google. Phone screen didn't get past Tanium, Illumio, Vmware, Proofpoint I think many interviewers look for unicorn candidates (has to be a 110% fit). IMHO it's crapshoot. Sometimes they look for very technical expertise, sometimes it's your ability to spin. time frame 7 months. Hang in there and keep fine tuning your domain knowledge, Competitive landscape, Tech knowledge etx.
Thank you.
Hang in there. Any idea which specific aspect you are not doing well? I feel a lot of companies look for domain knowledge. You list of companies seem pretty wide ranging. Maybe double down in your domain?
I don't think it is domain knowledge. None of the questions they asked was domain related. Mostly abstract design challenges. Maybe I am asking too few or too many clarifying questions. I don't know.
hope this helps you... https://www.rooftopslushie.com/request/123
Hang in there. Over period of how many weeks? How did you get so many Interview calls? Last 2 weeks seems to be slow.
Over 4 months.
