Is an IPO on the horizon? https://finance.yahoo.com/news/palantir-revises-compensation-save-cash-004744316.html
Wait. According to u 1*5*10=50. But 20>50?
No. 5x revenue multiple means $5 billion valuation at $1 billion in revenue. 10x revenue multiple means $10 billion valuation at $1 billion in revenue. So a comfortable valuation for public investors would be $5-10 billion, assuming profitability.
Can anyone from @Palantir add anything?
It's not a big deal for most of us. Less cash now but ipo sooner, meh.
I have been reading reports of a "potential" IPO in next 2-3 years for 4 years now. This is a company which is not going to IPO for next 5 years at the minimum. In fact I really doubt if it ever is going to IPO. It is shady and secretive as hell. Filing for IPO means it will need to tell the investors what the hell they really are up to which is exact opposite of how they have operated for all their years of existence.
Afaik the company does not need to disclose their clients. Just accounting.
Heard recently that they are also PIPing new hires. Maybe it’s not about making ipo metics look good but look less bad
Is that the way it happens? Next time ill pay attention
