People currently at Palantir, what’s the stance like on having side jobs? Prospectively looking at accepting an offer as a delta and worried I’ll have to quit my side gig as an advisor for some startups. Also worried I wouldn’t be able to start my own business in the side in the future. The way their offer agreement is phrased makes it sound like anything I do software related in my free time will belong to them 😬😬 #sidejob #startup

I think this is generally okay so long as your side gigs aren’t competitive with Palantir. I’d ask your recruiter for guidance on your specific situation but I know of people things like what you’re describing.
+1. Know a few deltas who run their own business on the side.
All the companies I advise for are in tech but none of them do the type of (consulting?) work that Palantir specializes in I think, I guess some of them are loosely related to data science; I’ll reach out to be sure! Thanks already for weighing in. As for the deltas that run their own business, are they able to run tech-adjacent businesses or more so other industries?
