After 2 months of multiple round of interviews , I was about to get offer letter from PANW this week . But I got confirmation from recruiter as they have reviewed the position and decided to close the position for now . Recruiter final comments on call. 1)They might open the position in future (after 2 to 3 months ) .once the market get stable. 2) He gave golden Star to my profile ,so that once the position reopens . He can resume my hiring process. I little bit confused in point 2 . Can some one elaborate how this happens in PANW . Is hiring team will restart the process with new candidates or consider the pipeline candidates ? #paloaltonetworks #hiring #recruiting #severance

I had a similar experience. I completed all the interviews for a new grad role and I was told that my start date is not suited for the role. I was told that I will be considered for a future role without going through any additional tech rounds. However, later I found that this condition is only valid for if the specific team hires again. Otherwise, the process will be restarted again.
