Don’t do it.. Glassdoor it
btw- how’s American Airlines culture?
It all depends on what team you are joining. Like the first response says is not the best place for engineers. Other better managed team's are great.
All the negative Glassdoor comments are true. Lots of favoritism, shady behavior at the higher ups, no clear vision or direction, lots of silos, and distrust of management. Panasonic does a good job of putting up a show for its customers and selling stuff, so as a customer you should already known that part.
It is a nightmare. Clandestine layoffs, restructuring, losing deals, dubious vision. The ship is sinking your resume is a life jacket.
I just want to add that this is an overall Panasonic North America issue because I used to work for Panasonic Automotive. The previous PNA CEO Tom Gebhardt came from the automotive division so that should say something
That’s why Panasonic is crap.. only infested with backstabbers and corporate drones
PAC suffers from serious nepotism issue. A lot of Unqualified people hired on as Sr. Managers to run the team (high school graduate). A lot of Vietnamese people that barely speak English, part of Westminster crew that got hired b/c their family or neighbors referred them.
Those Sr. Managers are also the ones that do a lot of shady crap.
The ones that jump from group to group reinventing the wheel and then getting moved or promoted when their plan fails?
Not good! Stay away!
Why is HR always low balling new hires?
Because HR works for the company and the company is cheap and short sighted

From a corporate perspective, I probably wouldn’t work for Panasonic again. Most folks are contractors because Panasonic still has bushido-style layoff policies where they don’t give a single fuck about contractors and only hire minimal full-timers (full-timers do get treated like an only child). Layoffs happen all the time. Climbing the ladder is extremely difficult as well.
