Hello friends, I have been working on integration/middleware IBM stack for last 14 years in Indian service based companies.. Recently got a call for interview for Partner solution Architect role in AWS.. What can I expect in first call with HR? How much should be the expected salary that I can convey to recruiter? YOE - 14.5 yrs.. Current role - Technology Architect #tech #aws
You should be clear with HR the band level. Based on your experience, I would target 350-400k TC, which will be L6.
Thank you for the feedback..
If you live outside New York or SF, your max SA salary for L6 is 357k
If this is for a role in India, I don't know what the pay bands are there. However, you never tell HR or the recruiter your salary requirements. Never. Ever. For an L6 Sr. SA in AWS (US) the range is 257-347k (for those not living in New York or Bay Area)
This is for US opening.. So how do you discuss about salary then if we don't give then any expected numbers?? Any suggestions?? It's not for NY or SF.
When the recruiter asks you what you'd like to make you simply say you're open, and more interested in finding a fit than salary and that you're confident you can come to a number you both agree on after an offer is given. They'll try to get you to give a number, but don't. However, if you really want to, you can say 345k since 347k is the max offer for L6 SA.
Search blind for Amazon pay bands. You should target L6 SA. Also depends on location
Are they flexible in respect to hybrid or remote work?
Ask the team. Policy changes occasionally, but generally accepted that hybrid is going to be the way forward. Most are full remote right now
