Hello.. I am starting to wonder how I am paid compared to other financial analysts in my industry. This is going to be apart of influencing my decision of whether or not I will be sticking with the company.. Also, if you know of any places hiring financial analysts please let me know! YOE: 2 Financial Analysis Education: Bachelors Degree Total Compensation: $46,038 #finance
Where are you located? That seems really low. ETA: with two years of exp you could get around double that in just about any major locale
I am located in San Diego, CA … Barely able to make ends meet on this salary. Trying to apply other places.
Leave yesterday.
Leave. Leave yesterday. My dog walker makes more.
Well, the big thing is finding a company that will take someone with 2 years of experience who’s fresh out of college. No luck so far.
What's your location and current company?
San Diego Urgently Roadside Assistance - They use the term “start up” to justify the crappy pay.
Largely depends on the industry you’re working in and location. Similarly, I am a FA with 2 YOE. My salary is $70k based out of LA.
I’m based in San Diego. Just trying to break out of this company.
Where are you based? A financial analyst at HBO with 2 YOE in NY would be making around 75K + 5% bonus
San Diego, CA .. Yeah starting to realize its crap pay.
I’m 1yr and 4months out and I get paid 70k I had better offers but the benefits at this job was way better. It depends on your locality too.
I am here in San Diego currently .. I am starting to see the smoke they were blowing.
Yeah leave immediately, I am in DC and from what I know (got a couple of friends out there) that’s definitely too low. Look on LinkedIn really good for my area definitely and as long as you have the actual technical skills needed you will get a job easily.
Starting salary for a new financial analyst at Wells Fargo is $70,000 in the Midwest, which is the market rate.
What?! Geeze I need to get into that!
You should check out financial analysts program openings. They have a lot of openings and qualifications are very minimal.
Straight out of college I made $60k in Georgia. This seems very low especially for CA
I got screwed from what it seems like.
Like others have stated, it depends on your location and industry. I was making what you're making with 2 YE, but this was almost 10 years ago. Based off that, you're underpaid.
I guess it’s time to start looking.
this is low
Thank you for your input. I’m trying to look for another job currently.
