Pay raise on immigration status change?

Did you receive pay raise or promotion on immigration status change? Such as from H4 to H1, H1 to GC, GC to citizenship etc.? Do citizens have better chances of being offered higher pay than green card holders and visa holders when they switch jobs? TC: 190k, YoE: 14

Trying to understand if the employer will consider immigration expenses into TC calculation.

That’s weird. Your employer is not running this for you?? Your paying for the app?

You don't. But for GC, you just have better bargaining power.

How does GC help with negotiation ?

Duh. Until you've got a GC or held I-485 for 180 days and change companies with the same role, if you get fired, your out of status and have days to leave USA

Nope . Everyone gets same pay depends upon how’s your interview goes and other offer for negotiations

citizens don’t have better chances of getting higher pay, they do have better chances of getting paid less because GC/H1/H4 employees will accept lower offers due poor bargaining position. this results in everyone getting paid less and companies and executives getting richer.

Why do GC holders have poorer bargaining power than a citizen ?
