Asking for a friend who works for a small company and his director will know he’s looking if he posts. Senior Product Manager at PayPal on their risk org - T25 (San Jose based)# Base: 165k Bonus: 10% RSU: 100k over 3 years No signing Questions for folk: 1. Possible to negotiate a T26? Is PayPal hard to level up? 2. Is this comp fair? What can he negotiates. He’s got a some start up offers but keen on PayPal because he wants a brand name on the CV 3. Does PayPal give signing usually? 8YOE, 3years as a PM Current Tcomp: 170k #paypal #compensation #peoductmanagement #pm
T26 not possible. Base can go upto 170K and RSUs looks super low. If he has a competing offer this can be much better.. By the way, Risk Org is one of the most shittiest org in PayPal .. just a whistleblow to your friend!
Risk is super shitty.
Why? What’s wrong with the risk org?
Lot of politics, mediocrity, worthless leaders (no capabilities apart from lobbying) and low standard of hiring.
Thanks! Will let him know.
This is a fair offer given 3 yrs as pm
You can go up in base up to 185k for T25 if you have a competing offer, anything more and you need to go up to a T26 which is harder. RSU also very low maybe get a sign on bonus too

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Apart from 3 yrs of PM experience, did your friend have any prior tech experience ? If not, I believe Sr PM role is fair enough.
Yep, 1.5 years as strategy and ops in tech and before that consulting
