If you moving coast to Coast with family get the assisted one

Hey, also consider taxes - those lump sum amounts will get added to your taxable income.

Not sure about US, but in EU, Amazon offers a tax assistance to the lump sum payment to make it tax free.

Wow, tax free would be awesome! In Canada my friend paid higher taxes after getting his relocation assistance from Amazon. Not sure which option he chose though

Yes, you're required to pay it back if you leave. It diminishes over 2 years - so if u leave after 18 months you only pay 25% Tbh, not sure if you take the assisted move if you need to pay its cost as well upon leaving.

Would it cost more than lumpsum if you move? Otherwise lumpsum. Yeah you will need to pay prorated relocation, if you get pip then Nothing.

Heard from other co-workers that the assisted moving company lost and broke some of their items. I would say opt for the lump sum if you can find a reputable moving company and can pack most of your things yourself.

How much is the lump sum for L5? I’m moving from Arlington to Seattle

Is the 10k or 15k fixed? I just want them to pay for my plane ticket and a few months of housing, and not worrying about paying them back.
