    • No, EA cares. The current strategy was a change from the what Battlefront 1 did because of the last player revolt (DLC packs and season passes). Players hate change (they also hate dumb hallow responses on social channels)

      Yea fair enough!

Can’t speak as to BF as I don’t care to follow the drama but players do bitch and whine at any attempt to commercialize a game. It’s pretty annoying when their always crying wolf at every little thing to generate revenue and pay for development costs in the indie titles that I play.

Video games already have small margins compared to, say, social media. Sad to see how developers get treated.

Game devs don’t get enough recognition. Huge respect for them!

  • Some people in my office are taking it personally, which I find funny. I find the entire situation funny, and a testament to how much players passionately love EA that they’d get this upset over something like this. They’ve got fair criticisms which of course have been exaggerated, but I’m glad we’re engaging and addressing them.

I don’t take it personally when passionate gamers get passionate over a game I’ve worked on.

    • WEYE62 - How did you interpret my comment as “only thinking of profit”?

And fair enough, I can replace “passionately love EA” with “passionately love EA games” if that resolves your nitpick.

EA has the reverse Midas touch. Bullfrog, maxis, BioWare etc. all killed by EAs negligence

Bullshit. Maxis got closed in 2015, what’s left is just a rump of a company peddling mobile games and sims 4 DLC
