Hi Blind fam, Currently at Google I've my I140 approved. Is it okay to join meta now given they are having problems with immigration especially with PERM? TC: 380K
Avoid if you need to apply for PERM again. Company is very opaque about PERM success rate. They don't support for appeals.
How to initiate perm at meta
Why would you want to join Meta? The US government has a long standing grudge against immigrants who work at Meta
Hi I'm on h1b, is it safe to join Meta if I want them to start my GC process, what is Meta of all companies having issues with USCIS?
Per info on blind they keep having pauses and lower support on GC process so avoid if you can
At meta close to 4 years, perm is still not filed, restarted couple of times, pd became current 1 yr ago, and facing the possibility of relocating to Canada. If you change to meta, file perm immediately and don’t change job title or location, or remote or anything for next 3 yrs
nov 2022 approvals coming in
I personally wouldn't mess with immigration. I'd stay put. Unless it's going to take forever. Then, I'd consult with a talented immigration attorney.
I'm using my old I-140 from 2016, this is my 3rd job since. I don't expect my priority dates to be current ever and don't want to waste my time on doing all this process unnecessarily

Yep. As long as you don't expect your Priority date to be current any time soon you can join
Make sure to stay for 180 days after approval. Technically, the employer can withdraw i140 if you leave within 6 months, though unlikely.
This^. I went thru the same thing. I got my i140 thru my previous employer and being an Indian born citizen i dont have any hopes of getting my PD current in the next 50 years. I joined Meta 3 years back and am just about to get my i140 approved via Meta and recapture the previous PD.
