I joined in Nov 2022 and my 90th day post which my perm could be initiated is in last week of Feb 2023. Due to the ongoing economic circumstances is it ok to request my manager to start it in bit advance ? Also what are the chances that they won’t delay it stating unnecessary reasons . Did any of you at Walmart get your perm initiated recently? I wish all goes well . Somebody please advise 🙏 TC:$220k #tech #perm #I140 #workvisa #h1b
You can ask, no harm in that
I doubt they will file this year... so get the conversation going asap
They will do on time
🙏
Asking for speed will not change anything. Our legal team files everyone's application in batches quarterly.
I get it but my worry is would manager state macro economic reasons to delay things? Hopefully she doesn’t 🙏also how good should we perform for perm to be initiated?
There's no internal decision that indicates to this yet. We're making very good decisions for people welfare in what's a tough condition out there. Any government policy will be different and unavoidable but probably materializing by April. If your manager doesn't hate you, it'll be all fine. Most people go through it. In fact I haven't heard of one single person who was denied.
What happened? Did they agree to start it sooner?

Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
It is always ok to request as soon as possible. Mention mental distress, the fact your spouse can't work, lower interest rates to buy a house (say you are loving so much your job you want to buy a house near them to stay forever) Say anything, start it now. Denying is always a bad thing for them because they are kind of inviting you to look elsewhere Worse they can do is say yes and stall you
