Perm processing time
Hello blind community- My employer is going to file perm application for me. does anyone know what are perm processing times. Here is what I am told- Its 4 step process- Step 1. Request for prevailing wage to department of labor- 4 to 6 months Step2. Recruitment period. Additional 6 to 9 months Step3. Labor application electronic filling. Additional 1 month Step 4. Await decision from USICS. Additional 2 months if no audit Overall- 14 to 18 months. Are these timelines correct?
It should not take more than 6-7 months if there is no RFE and I140 is filed in premium processing.
I wish it was that fast for me. But looks like some stupid law firms take forever. Fragomen is freaking slow.
My partner’s company use Fragomen and mine is BAL. Maybe we are fortunate that our process went smoothly and was very fast. PS: BAL is currently working on my extension RFE.
Step 1 might take longer. It took 3 months for me and current average prevailing wage determination time is 111 calendar days.
1, 2 and 3 - 7 months 4. 6 months I140 - 1 month Total approx. 14 months
My employers law firm keeps telling me- processing times are not same as last year and have increased significantly!!
I think that’s true. Lot of people have mentioned the same. Even RFE has become common. I think they are putting 30% cases in RFE(I believe it is mandate now!)
Its a headache for employee as well employer. Sucks like anything. Makes job change even tougher. :(
The process took me and my wife so long that we were divorced before she even got her permanent resident status 😂😂😢😢😢😭😭
We submitted last year - but it took 6 month end to end. For perm. I140 with premium took 10 days Aos under eb3 yo gc in hand took about 9 month So just under a year and a half

Some seem a bit exaggerated. 1. Approx 3 2. 2mo recruitment + 1 quite period 3. 1 mo. 4. I-140 : 15 days for premium processing.
