Tech has notoriously been a boys club for years, but we continue to pretend and hide the fact that JPMorgan, and more specifically their healthcare payments subsidiary: InstaMed, continues to treat their female employees like trash. There are NO female executive directors in tech (product, development, test, delivery, etc) for InstaMed. And only one tech dept has a female manager with people who report to her. The most jarring thing is that when females are promoted to manager, they either leave the company from lack of internal respect, or mysteriously are demoted as part of a organization restructure. If you work at InstaMed and are a woman, you will not be promoted. You will be talked down to/mansplained to/asked to work on projects where your male counterparts take credit for the work you did. If you attempt to speak out against the harrassment or discrimination you will be ignored. I have personally provided physical evidence to JPMC HR in multiple reports about higher ups disrcriminatinf against females here. All reports submitted have been ignored with no actiont taken. There is no accountability for mistreating females or minorities, even with exteme high turnover and proof. The facts are there. Reports have been filed. Take a look at the demograpics for InstaMed. Do something. We are a black mark on JPMC. Does the bank want to continue this trend? What more can we do for help? #jpmc #discrimination #techgirl #boysclub#tech
If you’re looking to change jobs but stay within the industry come to Capital One. We pay about the same or a little better and we have a robust Women in Tech group and a large number of respected women leaders.
Capital one is a great place to bank, not work.
To each their own.
URM?
Must be frustrating. Never thought JPMC would have this kind of issues. Thanks to you for speaking out!
Low TC + harassment = jump companies
