I have little over 1 year of work ex. I have received offer from Arcesium for SE role. So I have to choose between my current organization and Arcesium. Few points about my current org- WLB is good, compensation is low, decent projects(not the best, not the worst), culture is good, promotions are difficult. Arcesium is offering 100% hike based on my current compensation. I was excited about the offer but the reviews here have made me think again. Any suggestions/ guidance?
Reviews will never be good in this kind of forums for any company for that matter. People come here to complain. Saying that , I feel Arcesium is level above to Phillips for having developer career. There are WLB issues for some of teams for sure. But at your age, that is something shouldn't be a problem. Learning will be there. Good thing about Arcesium is people are very helpful so far. Culture is good. Lot of perks. Hike are also much better as there are no shares/equity.
True, thanks for your perspective.
TC, yoe
TC is 10 LPA (current) and YOE is 1-1.5
What is comp at Arcesium
28.5 LPA
Can u share the break up ,i can give you info whether your lti+ bonus is good enough to join
I agree with @ia55 here. You will always find bad reviews for all companies coz we need to rant out our issues somewhere. However, we don’t go and post about the good things coz nobody has the time for that. Thats the basic human nature. I also do that. That said, arcesium does have bad wlb and pay parity issues. However, as a developer, it is a much better option than Philips. The culture is very good. I have read some reviews about the tech stack being old but i found it to be good in my team (maybe i was lucky. Idk). People are quite helpful. So, arcesium >> philips. Go for it and continue interviewing during your notice period.
Yeah right, that was indeed helpful. I have accepted the offer. One thing that I noticed from interviews to response in forums, Arcesium people have been kind and helpful.
It's better if you mention the team name here or DM. As there are some teams which have poor wlb, high Ops and uninteresting work. (Which is no where close to giving you any learnings, i have seen almost entire team leaving just because of that in 2021 itself) Maybe you should avoid joining those. Other than that Arc is a really good employer to have in your early career
I do not have the team info yet.

It's a good place to work/learn for your yoe. People are friendly and ready to help. And continue interviewing at other places as well. You can use arcs offer and leverage to even more tc. Chase that tc.
