I will be interviewing for Frontend Intern position (summer 2020) at Facebook Europe in a few days. I’ve passed the recruiter screen, so two technical rounds are ahead of me. I have never done a technical phone screen before, but I’ve watched and know a lot of good practises for whiteboard questions. As these two video calls are the only assessment I will have (no onsite due to visa) I really have to nail both of them (passing the first one leads to getting the secone one). As I mentioned, I am interviewing for frontend position. That means more HTML/CSS/JS related questions, and that is fine. I have practised both such types of questions as well as the leetcode type ones. Question is - are there any specific things interviewers are looking for on phone screens? I would imagine that I have to talk all the time (when they are not) to appear confident and explain my thought process. Is there anything else? What non-technical (or technical?) tips you have for someone like me? 3rd year CS student
Did you tune in to "Mastering Your Facebook Interview" on EventBrite? Follow their instructions there
I can’t find it on EventBrite. I tried both google and their internal search mechanism. Maybe because there’s nothing in my area? It’s local, right?
It's not public. Your recruiter would have sent you a link. You just tune in online with BlueJeans. If your interview is in a few days, then you probably won't make it to the next session (twice a month on Mondays). It's pretty generic advice, so it's not something worthy of rescheduling your interview. I just find the Q&A valuable. I'll post the general tips later
