Pinterest L4 vs Snap L3
Have to finally choose between offers. Snap L3 - 220K USD Based in Seattle Pinterest L4 - 330K CAD Canada YOE: 5 Got down leveled at Snap but Pinterest seems to be behind in terms of tech. Cost of living is slightly lower in Seattle and no state tax means I would have roughly $60k a year more in take home pay once promoted to L4 but I would be on a TN visa. Whats TC after taxes at current offer? That will put it into a better perspective. Snap also has seen better equity growth while Pinterest is down 50% since July.

Thanks for the breakdown. Relatively impactful difference but if take Snap and you go back to Canada your money is worth 25% more. If you take Punteresf and then move to the US later it will all be worth 25% less. Check out the Q3 earnings report on Thursday. If positive it will be 10 straight quarters of growth. The risk of taking Snap seems to be much lower than Pinterest at this point.
Afaik snap promo from L3 to L4 might take some time. It only makes sense to come to Seattle if you gonna make significantly more money right away. Cost of living in higher in Seattle than Toronto, I am in Seattle, have friends and relatives in Toronto.

At least 2 years. 1st year you would be mostly ramping up and learning the tools and processes. You will start making impact only after 6-9 months.
