I'm leaning towards Pinterest because I like companies that make consumer products and I feel like they have a similar technical bar and/or reputation.
Palantir for sure. Despite the questionable moral compass, they still have the prestige and investors still have confidence they'll be a 10x'er org. When u have palantir on ur resume, you'll raise some eyebrows both for bad and good reasons but mostly good Couldn't say the same for Pinterest and they're struggling to find an identity because of the backlash in the public market (check the stock and read up on recent oopsie PayPal acquisition rumour that was completely false)
Pinterest is also prestigious and their valuation was higher than Palantir until recently. Palantir is 18 years old and still unprofitable. In any case, I'm more concerned about their respective technical bar than stock market performance.
I would go to Pinterest if your interested in tech. Palantir focuses on government customers so you’ll notice a lot of your coworkers may have experience in the DoD, whereas Pinterest has many engineers from the dozens of other tech companies in SF, Also, Pinterest is in SF whereas PLTR is in NY/DC, so if you are set on running full time, consider that
I think Palantir is headquartered in CO.
That’s their “HQ”, but depending on product, if you work on Gotham you’ll be in NY/DC or if you work on Fiundry you’ll be at Palo Alto. IIRC NY is the largest You won’t be in CO
Palantir doesnt have good reputation. It is big brother
I meant in the tech industry, not in general.
I dont think culture is independent of revenue source. Who is bread i eat, his song i sing
