Pivot@Amazon vs Fire?
Does pivoted@amazon means I got fired? My manager says both are different and you're not fired. Did he just try to console me?

If you took the severance then you were fired for performance. Call a spade a spade. That's different than being fired for cause (harassment, legal issues, etc).

Good thing is no one really cares if you get pivoted or fired from Amazon and u don’t have to tell ur next company . Take the check and find a new job

Nah! All that comes up in bg check is tenure at amazon and designation.
AFAIK, you choose between buyout, appeal or pip.
I chose buyout aka severance pay..does it still mean I got fired?
Don't think so because you can come back after some time. Ask HR.
